- He was first licensed in California in 1969. After owning and operating several businesses with his wife, he returned to real estate in 1986.
- In 1989, he took over the recruiting, hiring, training and mentoring of new agents for a large franchise company in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
- In the summer of 1993, he became a national trainer for the largest real estate franchise in the world, specializing in new and experienced agent training. He also was involved in broker consultation, primarily in the area of broker/agent relations.
- In June of 1997, he started Stu Becker Seminars, an agent and broker training company covering the Southeastern US. As of August 1998, Stu teamed up with Timeless Technologies, Inc., a company which provides innovative training in computer applications for the real estate industry. Included in the educational offering was extensive automation training for basic computer use, Top Producer®, OnLine Agent®, basic website design and real estate related Windows® applications.
- In late 1999, Stu purchased the Realty Executives franchise for all of Sevier County, Tennessee. The area served by the firm includes Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville and Seymore, including all outlying areas.
